The following collection explores the Portuguese coast and its little towns and villages.
First visiting in 2021, after a year of the 'new normal' of Covid, Portugal gave me a new perspective on the 'realidade da vida', starting a love affair that is likely to last a lifetime.

Azenhas do Mar, Sintra, Portugal
The name of this sleepy fishing village translates to 'Watermills of the Sea', referencing a time when a once-powerful stream used to turn the village's watermills as it meandered down to the Atlantic.
The textures of Portugal's coastline, interiors and exteriors capture the imagination like nowhere else. Whitewashed buildings from the Moorish rule stand proudly in the Iberian sun, as glittering waves gently lap onto nearby shores.
